I was getting orders from regular clients to provide a gallery of images from multiple perspectives and sources. I was the judge of what images were to be submitted. I needed a great camera, if only to stem my ebbing confidence in these monster (lucrative) projects.

Unless you have owned a camera, been out on a shutterbug spree, or spent time observing or learning from a professional photographer or taken a photo class, it’s the luck of the draw. And many photographers enjoy the control and manipulation of lenses, lights, apertures, and modes more than others. Other people may just want grandma’s face over the birthday cake.

When the Camera Buying Process takes over mind and reason, it’s best to let your inner photographer use its best judgement. Sometimes the ability to become a photographer for commercial purposes is only one or two steps away. Better equipment, or finding the right equipment for you, makes the best pictures come forth.

I reviewed the software available and saw that I could invest an unlimited amount of time skewing, pasting, cropping and finishing pictures. My approach was to get a cleaner camera with smoother image capturing capabilities. The work was there, and the earnings potential immediate. I just had to get a better picture taking instrument for me.
