Feedback from a Recent Photo Sale
Recently one of my stock shots sold -Â a decent picture of a crossword puzzle.
Didn’t think much of it but a few weeks after the sale i checked my account and had a message from the buyer telling me where and how she used the photo.
Now isn’t that just cool?    I mean – it doesn’t put any more money in my pocket - but it sure is nice to get the feedback. Especially in microstock photography sales, we never really get a chance to find out where our shots go or where they are used.
Not only is it a good ego boost – just to know that someone out there actually did like and use your photo – but it is really helpful to get some perspective on the buyer and where he or she needs stock.
When i have time ( a bit rare these days) i try to visit the a few of the microsock agencies forums. A few (I’m pretty sure istockphoto does) have forum areas for stock buyers to post ‘wanted images’. If nothing else it is good to breeze through and pick up ideas for future pictures.
So – all you buyers out there – feedback is much appreciated!

Hehe, I know what you mean. Aren’t we always just curious to know who bought our photos and where is it gonna be used?

It’s even better for me when someone tells me where a model shot was used because then I can email that info to the model if he or she requested it and they are always THRILLED to know where one was used.
Great blog btw. I almost used this template when I redesigned NiltoMil but I ended up settling on a magazine one and then stumbled back here and – whoa – same one I have uploaded. haha
