Micro Finding & Connecting
The market for key photos can be the connection the photographer finds in the association. I stopped outside a fast food restaurant and saw the cars waiting in line for food. This seemed like a great opportunity to capture a high resolution image and decide what to use it for later. The more experience you get editing images the more likely you are to see microstock potential in what a casual passerby might shrug at.
Finding a good shot can mean recognizing elements inside the viewfinder or on the LCD panel which can hold serious potential for a cropped shot optimized in a number of ways. Good resolution, bright sunlight or romantic shadow, lots of color or a scene or tableau can be seen to tell a story. The idea is to spot a great shot and market its use later. there is a lot of integrity to this concept once you get the hang of direct marketing your stuff.
Green usiness and sustainability images are hot right now. This is always true of markets or products that have not been distributed widely for sale. Thus people may not have ever seen a picture to match the product reviews. Lots of new product reviews lack pictures because they are made up by someone who had never used the product. A picture can qualify a lot of links.
The plenitude of light and clarity in an image file can render it part of a website story even when the portfolio publisher doesn’t have an immediate use. Completely “white-bread” or vanilla images can spring into utility when the potential buyer scans the available images to be vended. Small crops of much larger images can transmit better in some ministe markets than giant 3000 by 4000 resolution files.
