Blending two images takes craft and skill that microsoft photo editors will have acquired using their respective software suites and bitmap editors. To make a point or a statement or present an image for editorial or text accent, intent is in the mix. A relationship between two ideas involves the photographer editor at some point and the light bulb of creativity flashes.
Writing a blog about recycling and green energy, I needed an editorial type image to illustrate the relationship the text was building between sustainability and computer games. Or perhaps it is more accurate to say the relationship was a directionalized negative impact of games upon sustainability. Nevertheless a graphic was needed. Pointing up the nature of the “beast” was a stylized image saved as a resident .jpg from the World of Warcraft site.
The graphic can always speak much more quickly to an observer’s point of view than a mere picture. The fantastic subject matter and colors were matched by the earth graphic I chose to put in the “god’s” hand. Thus a mere central game graphic becomes an environmental editorial. These types of blends can happen all the time with the subject matter taken from the micro stocker’s camera. What themes are chosen is up to you.
These make great and unusual images that showcase your imagination, wit, sense of humor and ability to mechanically manipulate the images online to render a saleable product. Choose topics like energy, politics, miltary actions, the economy, finance, the sky is the limit.
