Ever feel like a little kid with all the new technology out there? Camera gear and computer doodads can make the most tech-friendly of us recall nostalgically the 1970’s days of gummy peelback Polaroids. Ah, the grainy shadows of yesteryear.
Well, it’s 2009 now, and the desktop capability and portable computing and camera editing power would pop out the eyes of those bearded 1970′ hipsters and their intimidating knob shaped camera bags and flashcube towers on their behinds. White balances that set the gray and white tones on your camera to where they are suppsoed to be can be had for about $30. o0. This gray piece of stuff lets your camera turn the registration from shots back into the rainbow of hues where they belong. So those graying blue-faced pics that look drained of warmth will heal up.
Tripods are the next gadget that is both old school and new tech. Tripods are the least likely buy for a micro stocker because they think they won’t doing landscapes. But the secret is that still lifes, close shots, and set ups may require a lone photographer to hand in or hold something up or away from the lens, like a branch or hanging wire to get the far focus image.
