The wedding photo market heats up. This is June after all! The fashion and beauty microstock markets attracts a hybrid of textile, dress design and retail shopping image file possibilities. The above image directs the viewer to the shopping world and the retail formal dress market. The themes of black and white play up the formal event type of photo. Etiquette sites and formal tuxedo rental sites would be glad to have this picture.

Just a quick reminder: If you haven’t yet entered the Audubon Magazine Photography Awards, you have only two weeks left. Submit your amazing bird photos by the July 15 deadline and you could win one of the fantastic prizes.

Open contest for U.S. residents only. Laws in seven states ( Arizona , Louisiana , Iowa, North Dakota , Tennessee , Maryland , and Vermont ) make residents of those states ineligible for Audobon awards.

This summer is all about bodies. Camera bodies that is! (What did you think I was talking about!) I am liking a new forum I registered with after looking up online courses in photography. The gallery is always a key visitor’s destination for any new photography forum. The black and white images of the castles and the “grainy” images make me  wonder if i can match that level of composition and resolution.

I like that when you fill out your profile it has all these categories for camera bodies, lenses, and accessories you own. Seeing what images those members have contributed will challenge my own skills with the common denominator camera factor the only separator.

Camera swap: I may even go in for a camera swap this summer and see what comes out of my lens walkabout with a different piece of equipment. A community board for my metro area (los Angeles) can help me find someone amenable to this trade. Working with a new camera is a great challenge to test my skills and improve my portfolio with the walkabout image grab.

How painless would it be to simply ask some online buddies for tips or warnings troubleshooting issues with your camera with people who have the same model? I am setting some goals this month finding more about the limitations and advantages of my camera model exactly. I think this will shed some light on some of my night focus and blurry image result challenges I have been having.
