You know you are really in the photography biz when you just don’t find the released image acceptable and start improving it willy nilly after seeing it. There are a few simple tricks to use when you are reviewing an image to make sure the utmost quality appears in every submission.

The general shine and light relationship is best not played with. But sometimes the white balance and calibrated raw file might have so much appeal that a tiny little bit of color balance and shine or light elimination can make the file “pureâ€. Aiming for top submission quality is key. If the composition, resolution, and light and subject matter is right, the image is worth fixing.

If there is time in your tasking calendar, it might be worthwhile to bring the skill set another microstock benefit. Knowing what images can be tweaked a little to get a uniform background, evened out shadow, clearer foreground or improved resolution can pay off if the dynamics elsewhere in the image are potentially profitable.
