Long term photography hobbies require one universal resource: memory storage. Photo files and assorted albums take up a lot of room, even on systems with expanded resources. By now everyone knows that their computer works better with less resident memory taken up with file directories and can scan and troubleshoot, shut down and start up with less time with a streamlined file tree. Archiving and deleting heavy files can speed up computer editing and system processes.
After mentioning you are a photographer, the next thing to talk about is what your specialty is. Kids? Sports? Action? Think about being able to state what your specialty is. Your business card might hint at this, or your website or photo gallery might feature prominently images of your specialty as the first album or gallery folder. Market your specialty so networking can multiply commissions and image sales.

Target your niche markets surgically. If you specialize in automobile photography, register for online automobile forums. Put your website url in your profile. Somebody there might have good feedback for your shots or constructive advice about finding customers. Tap their user traffic and look into their knowledge base and pick their brains for productive direction in the niche market. The meta tags for any photos you submit will track back to your own website.

On one of the many domain boards where I do business with domain name owners, I saw a thread where a desperate website owner had shouted out for a .jpg image of a particular thing. Not for this website owner the endless browsing of thousands of images with generously allowed keyword usage. Is there a site online where photographer an link to their own online micro stock picture image galleries where their files can be vended for sale?
