Finding a pattern and sketching its makeup with a composition shot can make a very illustrative shot that can be utilized for online websites, colorway use, and/or figurative graphics. Using the graphics as a basis for a site is a common design motif. Patterning a simple graphic into a complex website design allows icons avatars and accent graphics.
Certainly I am all about the organic shot, but sometimes you have to dress the set a little. The resultant image had a shutter freeze blur that appears artistic to some people and could look very attractive in a framed portrait. I was switching between museum and micro settings because I wanted to see how much flash the micro setting generated at 5X digital intensity into the field. the varying image files to choose from each had benefits and drawbacks. Experience with the finished cropped and reduced file result helped me choose the right one.

Simple tidying up inside a file and adjusting what elements you can of a less than ideal setting can work wonders on the value of a single image.
