Animal photography is a lucrative market. But for some it’s like chasing your tail. My opinion is that if you have a pet or access to animals, and a great camera, and the patience to learn the techniques, you might be halfway there. For me, the effort has proven exhausting. I am chasing the proverbial two headed walrus and the cat keeps jumping out of the bag. Usually I am the on-the-spot person snapping away. But the animals fail to accommodate me.
Whereas on my sunny days the glare and light from the sky would backlight the skyscrapers, a cloudy, morose day made for great photographic opportunities. The buildings would have a stark mirror gloss that would show up fantastically against a uneven gray/white sky. This makes the outline complement the interior texture, and introduces image qualities beyond “tourist” scope.
Now would have been a good time for some of those tags attached to the images for sorting. Just tabbing through the images to see which ones I wanted to keep took more time than I could afford. If there is anyone who doesn’t know the difference between a tag and a keyword, it’s that the tag is what the author uses to search images and arrange them for sorting. It allows for easy organization in folders for ftp download and publishing.
